Pokemon-related writing

This is an area where I will post any writing projects I've done that are Pokemon-related.

The Pokemon Centre/Center trip

Back in 2019, the UK had a temporary Pokemon Centre/center shop opened to celebrate the release of the new Pokemon games that were Sword and Shield. The UK Pokemon Centre was open from the 18th of October, through to the 15th of November.

I got to visit it on the 22nd of October.  I wrote about the trip back in October, so I'll post what I wrote here. I hope you enjoy!

October 22nd, 2019. The time had finally arrived. Me and my dad woke up early so that we could catch an early train. I quickly got dressed and put my backpack on. I already had my plan in mind; This was the day I'd finally get to visit a Pokémon Centre! The excitement built.
We arrived at the train station very early. There were hardly any people there yet, mainly just a couple of groups waiting for various trains to arrive. Our train arrived not too long after we arrived at the station. We got on it, found a double seat, sat down and talked briefly about what to do once we arrived in London. Thus, our train ride to London had begun.

Once our train arrived in London, we headed straight to the Shopping mall where the Pokémon Centre was in. After walking through the shopping centre for a bit, we finally located where the Pokémon Centre, we joined the long queue that stretched outside the entrance doors. Luckily, we were able to make it into the Pokémon Centre after about roughly 40 minutes of waiting in the queue. And so, it was time to enter the Pokémon Centre itself!

As soon as we entered the store, I could immediately see all sorts of Pokémon-related merchandise, from plushies, games, key-rings, shirts, posters. We got a basket and made our way around the Pokémon Centre.
The room was large, with lots of neatly lined up items on the shelves. There was an assortment of various Pokémon plushies; they had so many different types of Pokémon plushies, including every single eeveelution. There were lots of shelves with various Generation 8 merchandise such as key-rings with the new starters on them, posters, bags, etc.
The walls in the shop had lots of amazing artwork on them. My favourite was the detailed Galar map painting on the wall. We then walked part a row of shelves where there were Nintendo Switches and Pokémon games were being sold in the shop. Including some Joy-Cons.

While I was at the Pokémon Centre, I noticed that the stock was running out quickly, there were already empty rows on the shelves, and it had only been just over 30 minutes since it was last full. There was a high demand for the stock there.
I ended up getting two shirts; one of them was grey, and the other was dark blue. I also got a poster which had all the Galar starters on it.

Before we left the store, we went to the upstairs section because that was where they had free demos of Sword and Shield. There were several TV screens and Nintendo Switch consoles setup, meant for anyone to play for free. The demo was a maze, where you had to do a few battles, while trying to get to the end of this maze. Once you got to the end of the maze, you'd get to battle Nessa. I played it on one of the TV screens in the upstairs room of the store. And there it was! I had finally visited a Pokémon centre and even had a play of Sword and Shield's demo!

After we left the store, my dad and I went to a few other shops in London. I bought a couple of N64 Games and some books.
After that, my dad and I went to a Wetherspoons restaurant. We each ordered some lunch, I took out my phone and had a look at the pictures we took, we chatted, my excitement increased, and we left.

So, before we caught the train home, we walked around London for a while afterwards, looking at places like Leicester Square, visiting various areas and places in London.

So, there it is! My trip to the Pokémon Centre. Hope you enjoyed!
